The City of Guelph requires property owners to clear snow and ice from the sidewalk adjacent to their property within a set window after a snowfall ends. Homeowners who are away, working during the day, or simply behind on shoveling are the ones who end up out of compliance — and exposed to liability if someone slips.
Sidewalk and walkway clearing is offered as a standalone add-on to any driveway contract, or on its own for properties where the sidewalk is the priority (corner lots, rental properties, properties with elderly or mobility-limited residents).
